Dr. Venkat Ganapathy did not choose spine surgery by accident. He grew up watching his father practise medicine with a level of personal care that most patients never experience. He watched his grandfather fight through a debilitating physical condition with nothing but determination. Those two examples shaped everything that came after.
Today, Dr. Ganapathy is one of a small number of surgeons in North America who holds dual fellowship training in orthopaedic spine surgery. He trained under national and international experts at the University of Toronto and the University of Western Ontario, two of Canada's leading academic surgical programs.
He holds the designation FRCS(C), awarded by the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada to surgeons who meet the highest standards of training and clinical competency. In the United States, he is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery
